What is needed to make coffee in an Aeropress?

To prepare coffee in an Aeropress, you must have ground coffee. Of course, we don't have to buy it in this form. We can use traditional coffee beans, which we then grind in a special coffee grinder. The latter also does not take up much space, so just like in the case of the Aeropress, we can take this device with us everywhere. However, moving on to brewing coffee in an Aeropress, it is a very easy task. However, in order to perform them, you must properly prepare for this activity. Remember that the device itself is not enough to brew aromatic coffee. What we will also need is: high-quality Aeropress coffee (you can choose ready-made ground or coffee beans); if we decide to choose coffee beans, we will also need the previously mentioned coffee grinder. We should also buy a jug, a scale (a classic kitchen scale is enough) and paper filters. With the set prepared in this way, we can move on to the next step, i.e. brewing coffee using an Aeropress.

However, before we discuss them in more detail, we should know what elements this device consists of. They consist of: a cylinder, a piston and a strainer through which the prepared coffee is pressed. To prepare coffee in this extremely practical device, you must first place a paper filter on a round strainer. Then, measure the appropriate amount of coffee, place it in the device and pour about 30-40 ml. hot water. After about 30 seconds, pour in the remaining water, put the piston on the cylinder and wait about 1 minute. Then slowly, in a smooth movement, squeeze the coffee into the jug. We stop this operation when we hear a characteristic hiss. We can also use other methods to brew coffee in an Aeropress, but the one described above is the classic and most commonly used.
